Having grown up within a family of musicians, Carol Gomez developed a natural ability to express each song in her own unique style. She grew up listening to classic pop, country and western music, and later in her teenage years, jazz and blues music. Her main influences include Dr John, Ella Fitzgerald, Taj Mahal and Imelda May. She is also a classically trained pianist.
Being a sensitive musician, she is devoted and passionate towards her music. Her discipline and dedication shows in the expression of the music she renders.
Carol sings a wide range of genres and styles such as Pop and Top40s, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Country music.
With Carol’s adaptability, versatility in genre and years of performing experience, she has established herself as a sought after performer in reputable events all over Singapore. She has performed for Channel 5’s ” Lived the Dream” show in 2007; for the President Tony Tan and F1 head Bernie Ecclestone at The Istana Singapore; event for the current President of Singapore (President Tharman Shanmugaratnam), various festivals (Singapore Jazz Festival, Jb Arts Festival, Gardens Festival at Gardens By The Bay, Trees of the World at Botanic Gardens); Gardens (a world heritage site), St Regis Sunday Brunch sessions and at The Cool Cats Jazz Club at The JW Marriott Singapore.
Carol is also versatile in singing in several languages including Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Malay and Mandarin which enables her to bridge the different cultures within cosmopolitan.
